Barbara McHugh

Barbara McHugh is a published poet and novelist with many years of professional experience editing fiction, newsletters, and technical documents. She has an M.A. in English Literature from N.Y.U. and a Ph.D. in Religion and Literature from the University of California at Berkeley and the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley.

Barbara spent twenty years as a writing coach / "book doctor," working with individual clients and teaching workshops and intensives. You can find out more about her work here: McHugh Consulting.

Barbara has been studying Buddhism and practicing meditation for decades. She has taught many introductory courses on both topics, and co-leads an ongoing sitting group in Berkeley. She is on the Board of Directors of Marin Sangha.
